Love In The Time of Cholera
This is the first of a series of kinetic illustrations I'm making.These illustrations are based on a book I love called "Love in The Time of Cholera" written by the Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I read many of his books through my childhood. His work truly transported me to a world of Magic Realism, which is what I wanted to convey through the illustrations. This specific illustration represents a scene in the beginning of the book when Dr. Juvenal Urbino is doing an autopsy and teaching his apprentice. He explains it was suicide with golden cyanide. "If you look closely, those bodies usually will have sand in their heart."

Digitas: The 90 Minute Challenge
The challenge was to randomly select a wikipedia article, a color palette and a font paring and make a landing page in 90 minutes. Unexpected ingredients for a fun recipe :-) I used three of my colors and both of my fonts to make a landing page for the famous submarine SSBN-608. The second ship of the United States Navy to be named for American Revolutionary War hero Ethan Allen!
